Measure your dog from the based on their neck--or about wear their collar sits--to the base of their tail. These measurements do not take girth into consideration. That is the measurement around your dog's belly. If you have thicker dog or one that has a broader chest, or if you dog's back length straddles two sizes, I would recommend going with the larger size.
